Reorganisation

After fifteen years of SOS activity, it’s time to change.
One window is closed so that others open wider.

We are closing our drop-in centre; we no longer provide customer service without a prior appointment.

From July 1, we would like to ask everyone who wishes to use our services to book an appointment by sending a text message to 07816524987, by using the contact form on our website, or by email to info@sospolonia.net.

When making your booking, please give us some brief information on what matter you want to visit us and also what day and time suits you best. We will respond to your request by offering you one of our available appointments.

We know that all our countrymen – apart from newborn infants – have mobile phones, so we are sure that electronically arranging a visit will not cause any problems to anyone. Pre-booking your appointment will help to reduce waiting times, and allow us to give all our clients enough time for their particular needs.

In addition, we will also be able to expand the services we offer to our community, bringing you opportunities to learn new skills and information to succeed in all aspects of your life.

Our new appointment service is ready to assist you 6 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. We will keep you informed on our website, on Facebook and – with your consent – by email or SMS.

The main aim of SOS Polonia is to assist Central and Eastern Europe migrants living and working in the UK to integrate into their local communities.

At SOS Polonia we provide information and advice free of charge. People come to us with problems relating to employment, tax returns, health care, childcare, education, and more. After assessing the individual situation of each customer, we try to find the best possible solution for their problem, or to signpost them to a person or organisation who can help them. We can give information on UK laws that may apply to a particular situation, and we can provide support in contacting the appropriate authorities by telephone or in writing.

We also provide consultations on security risks, such as financial fraud, theft, domestic violence or hate crime. In such cases, we assist our clients in making contact with the appropriate services that have the power to intervene (eg police, social workers).

We handle more than 6,000 cases a year (more than 115 per week), in every case ensuring confidentiality of personal information and information provided to us.

We also offer a competitively-priced translation service for written documents, letters and e-mail content.

We look forward to seeing you!
